Many current Princeton traditions have their roots in student activities from long ago, stemming from athletic victories and other celebrations of campus life. Traditions bind the campus community together, from the earliest weeks when students enter as freshmen and bond with their classmates while competing with sophomores in a variety of sports during Cane Spree to the array of Commencement events that help to launch seniors into the world.
