Many things — and emotions — are associated with Princeton in the hearts of its students and alumni. Princetonians embrace the orange-and-black University colors with a loyalty that is most vividly displayed during Reunions. The tiger mascot is a lively figure at events and appears across campus in a number of guises, including sculptures and architectural motifs. Traditions are enhanced with the symbols of pageantry, including the Princeton seal and shield. The University also lives in the imagination of society at large, and "things Princeton" appear in popular culture across the globe. The story of Princeton is recorded, and continues to be told, in a variety of ways.
