2017 Planning Framework

In December 2017, the University issued a planning framework to guide campus development over the next 10 years in the context of potential needs and developments over the next 30 years. The framework proposes locations for several priority projects that were identified in a strategic planning framework that the University adopted in January 2016. These include a new residential college or colleges to permit the University to expand its undergraduate student body by 10 percent, new and improved facilities to support teaching and research in engineering and environmental studies, and space to accommodate academic partnerships with the corporate, government and nonprofit sectors in an expanded innovation system.
