Campus

The campus of Princeton, located in what was once a sleepy village amidst farmland in the pre-Revolutionary era, has evolved from a single building — Nassau Hall — that contained classrooms and housing for students to a park-like setting distinguished by numerous historic buildings. Campus landmarks tell a narrative of the life of the University over more than 260 years and continue to occupy special places in the hearts of students and alumni. The growth and expansion of the campus over time reveal the forces and changes that have helped it evolve into the lively and dynamic environment it is today, rooted in the earliest days of the nation and the University.
